A new year means a new series of Samsung Galaxy S phones, and with them a new color selection. But Samsung seems to be doing things slightly differently with the Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup compared to previous years.
With the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, we’ve seen a set of colors for the S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus, and another set for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, but with the S23 series, leaks suggest all three phones will be available in the same shades.
So below you’ll find all the shades we’ve heard of for the Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup, with all the most likely options expected for each phone.
Cotton flower
One shade we’ve heard mentioned is Cotton Flower, which based on leaked images like the one above is likely a cream or off-white shade. We’ve heard of beige elsewhere, which probably refers to that as well.
Multiple sources have mentioned a color along these lines and leaked images have shown this shade, which strongly suggests this will be one of the options.
It’s not the most inspiring finish, from the images we’ve seen, but white still seems to be a popular color regardless, and it’s perhaps the closest to the Samsung Galaxy S23 series.
It also looks different from any Samsung Galaxy S22 hue – there was a cream color offered there, but it was more yellow. The S22 series is also available in pure white.
misty lilac
Misty Lilac seems like a fancy name for pink, going by leaked images you can see above. This shade has also been mentioned several times, so it will probably be offered at launch.
It appears to be a very light pink which is even paler and more subdued than the Pink Gold hue the Samsung Galaxy S22 can be seen in. So it is also a shade in which the current models are not available.
Botanical Green
We’ve also heard several mentions of a green tint, with a source claiming it’s called Botanic Green and sharing images of its appearance.
It’s a little more interesting and unusual than the previous two options, but it may also prove to be less popular. It vaguely resembles the green tint of the Galaxy S22, but a little lighter and paler.
Phantom Black
Phantom Black is a classic Samsung shade we’ve seen before. It’s also just black, which is one of the most popular and common smartphone finishes in general.
Of course, there’s more than one type of black, and this one appears to be a fairly muted pale black from the leaked images.
It’s another color we’ve heard about a number of times, so coupled with what a popular choice it is, it’s the one we’d expect to see.
Light gold / Rose gold
The four colors above currently appear to be the shades we’ll most likely see, but at least one source has also mentioned that there might be a Light Gold or Pink Gold option.
Now there’s a pink color above it so they could be referring to that, but the leaked images don’t suggest there’s anything gold about it so it could be something different. We don’t expect to see it if so, as it hasn’t been widely mentioned.
White
White isn’t a color we’ve heard of by name for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, but a leak showed dummy units of all three phones in a white hue, which looks different from the Cotton Flower color above. .
So we can’t rule out this color, but we’re also much less confident we’ll see this compared to other rumored shades.
Other shades possible
While the colors above are all the specific shades we’ve heard of, a source said there may be additional shades exclusive to Samsung stores.
It wouldn’t be unusual for the company, so it’s believable, and it’s here that we might see some variation in color options for each model, with perhaps Galaxy S23 Ultra shades in which both other phones cannot be purchased, and vice versa.
It’s unclear which shades it might be – unless it’s the less common Light Gold or White options above – but there are plenty of possibilities. The Samsung Galaxy S22 series comes in all sorts of colors that Samsung could choose from; including sky blue, burgundy, red, purple and other options.
Of course, the company also chooses something from an older model or new shades that it hasn’t offered before.
