Microsoft Xbox Showcase takes place on January 25

The Xbox showcase will take place this January 25 and will be titled “Developer_Direct”. It will showcase Xbox Game Studios’ lineup of new games on Xbox, Windows PC and Game Pass for 2023.

The only confirmed games so far are ZeniMax’s The Elder Scrolls Online, Arkane Studio’s Redfall, Mojang’s Minecraft Legends, and Turn 10 Studios’ Forza Motorsport. Missing from this lineup is the long-awaited sci-fi RPG Starfield, which will receive its own presentation at another time. There has been no announcement of the game’s exact release date yet, but Bethesda has reaffirmed that it will be released in the first half of this year.

For Elder Scrolls Online, Zenimax has already confirmed that an ESO Global Reveal event will take place at 12:45 PM PST/3:45 PM EST. This should reveal the rest of the MMORPG. Last year followed the Breton Legacy theme which had the High Isle expansion, an addictive new Tales of Tribute mini-game, new companions and more. Hopefully we’ll see where we’re going in the next chapter and maybe a new class? Of course, you’ll have to watch the live showcase to find out, but it’s teased that this will be “the game’s biggest update this year.”

How to Watch the Xbox Showcase

If you can’t wait to watch the showcase live, you can watch the stream from official channels like Twitch and Youtube, as well as Bethesda’s Twitch and Youtube channels. The showcase will air on Wednesday, January 25 at 12:00 p.m. PTS/3:00 p.m. EST.

The length of the overall Developer_Direct presentation is still unknown. Microsoft has promised “more exciting gameplay and new details” for Forza Motorsport. There will also be an “insider look at the PvP multiplayer experience” for Minecraft Legends. Redfall’s open world will have insight into combat, customization, bosses, and more.

There are still a few projects fans are waiting to hear from, such as Avowed, Everwild, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, State of Decay 3, The Outer Worlds 2, as well as Fable and Perfect Dark reboots. However, we may have to wait for major gaming conferences such as E3 for further updates.
