  • Elvis Presley’s daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, has died aged 54, her mother announced Thursday.
  • She made her last public appearance Tuesday at the Golden Globes.
  • Presley is survived by his mother Priscilla and daughters Riley Keough and twins Harper and Finley Lockwood.

Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of rock and roll legend Elvis Presley, has died at age 54, her mother has said, according to The Associated Press.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Priscilla Presley said in a statement Thursday. “She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.”

Presley was “rushed” to hospital earlier today, according to a post Priscilla Presley shared on Facebook.

Paramedics responded to her Calabasas home after receiving a call that the singer was in cardiac arrest, according to TMZ. She would have received CPR and epinephrine would have been administered on the spot to help her recover her pulse.

Presley made his final public appearance Tuesday at the 80th annual Golden Globe Awards, where actor Austin Butler won Best Actor for his portrayal of his father in Baz Luhrmann’s 2022 “Elvis,” a biopic about the king of rock and roll.

The mother of four followed in her father’s footsteps and became a singer. His most recent album, “Storm & Grace”, was released in 2012 and mixes rock, pop, folk and country music genres.

Presley was born to Elvis and Priscilla Presley on February 1, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee, and was their only child. She grew up surrounded by media attention due to her father’s career as one of the most successful singers in modern history. That attention took a tragic turn and shifted to Presley and his mother when Elvis died of heart failure in 1977 at just 42. Presley was nine at the time.

She was 20 when she married musician Danny Keough. They had two children together: Danielle Riley Keough was born in 1989 and Benjamin Keough was born in 1992.

Presley divorced Danny in early 1994 and secretly married pop star Michael Jackson in May of that year while they were in the Dominican Republic, Entertainment Weekly reported. The couple made headlines after sharing a kiss that shocked the world on stage at the MTV VMAs. But the couple separated at the end of 1995 and divorced in 1996.

An even shorter marriage to actor Nicholas Cage followed. The exes met in 2000, married in August 2002, and filed for divorce three months later, though that wasn’t finalized until 2004, according to People.

She married music producer Michael Lockwood in Japan in 2006, according to People. Their twin daughters Finley and Vivianne Lockwood were born Oct. 7, 2008. Presley and Michael separated in 2016, according to People.

Tragedy has followed Presley for much of his life, most recently in 2020 when his son Benjamin died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, per Fox News.

In a 2022 essay about his death for People, Presley wrote, “I’m already fighting with myself and fighting tirelessly and chronically, blaming myself every day and that’s hard enough to live with. But to others will judge and blame you too, even secretly or behind your back, which is even more cruel and painful on top of everything else.”

She is survived by her mother Priscilla, 77, her daughter Riley, 33, and her twin daughters Finley and Harper Vivienne, 14.
