A new clip from The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim shows a player unexpectedly using a bridge as a catapult. The clip in question shows the player lining up a handful of dead bandits on a fort drawbridge before using the mechanism to launch the NPCs into the air. The fort full of bandits is one of many that can be found all over Skyrim.
When The Elder Scrolls 5: Skryim came out in 2011, it blew gamers away. In addition to the main storyline, the game featured a seemingly endless number of side quests that sent players to all corners of the world. Some of these side quests overshadow the main story in Skyrimwhich includes the quest “An Unforgettable Night” which saw the player go through a Hangover-type scenario after having a drink with the wrong guy. Some of the best moments of Skyrimhowever, are player-driven and involve players finding wacky ways to play with the world.
Through Skyrim, one of the most common enemies players will encounter are bandits. Often the bandits are indistinguishable from each other and usually dress in the same gear and speak the same lines of dialogue. One Skyrim mod attempted to fix this by adding an extra 500 lines of dialogue for bandit NPCs, but many will still be found hanging out in abandoned forts throughout the region. One player, however, decided to have a little fun with these NPCs in his own house. In a recent post, Reddit user Alex_Drewskie shared a video where they had apparently already gone through the fort and cleared out all the bandits inside. The player then lined up a set of NPCs identified as Mistwatch bandits on a drawbridge and pulled the lever, launching the bandits into the air before hitting a nearby tower.
As mentioned above, bandits are perhaps the most common enemy you can find anywhere. Skyrim. Most quests featuring said bandits usually involve killing their leader and/or fetching an item from a specific area occupied by the bandits. Since the game’s release, fans have found different ways to interact and take down these groups of bandits. One Skyrim the player has gone so far as to use illusion magic to sit and hang out with bandits, and it’s likely fans will find new ways to interact with these NPCs before the next old scrolls is released.
Since the game’s initial release in 2011, it has been re-released several times, with the Skryim Anniversary Edition coming to the Nintendo Switch in September 2022. Over the years, gamers have continued to share their various encounters with bandits and other NPCs that sometimes result in hilarious glitches and bizarre moments like this.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim – Anniversary Edition is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
